Herschel Walker, who is running to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate, on Monday officially qualified for the ballot in the state.
Walker is running in the Republican primary to take on current Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in the upcoming November general election.
“One of the greatest honors of my life is running to represent my great home state of Georgia. Today, I officially qualified to be on the ballot. We are fighting every day to keep the American dream alive!” Walker said in a tweet.

“This race is not about me,” Herschel Walker added in a statement. “This is about saving our country and the great state of Georgia from President Biden’s disastrous agenda which has led to higher prices, out-of-control crime, dangerous open borders, and ‘America Last’ foreign policy. Weak leaders create bad results — and we are sick and tired of politicians not being held accountable for their actions. If the course of my life has proven anything, it’s that no one can outwork me, and I always find a way to win.”
To this point, Walker has dominated the Republican primary field in all polls since entering the contest. As reported by The Georgia Star News, recent polling shows no other contender within 60 points.
“According to Trafalgar’s research, Walker secured almost 70 percent of the vote. Georgia Agricultural Commissioner Gary Black is the closest contender, pulling in just over six percent,” the report explained.
Even Warnock’s campaign has identified him as one of the most vulnerable incumbents.
“This election is a simple choice between a trusted conservative warrior and a rubber-stamp for President Biden,” said Walker’s campaign manager Scott Paradise. “Washington Democrats plan to spend millions of dollars to protect Senator Warnock and his 95% Biden voting record. We will spend every day between now and November reminding Georgians that soaring gas prices, skyrocketing inflation and record levels of crime fall squarely on the shoulders of Joe Biden and Raphael Warnock.”
